I am sending home a hard copy of this letter this week. Next week I will be sending only the e-mail version. If you wish to have a hard copy, please call the school office. If you have another address you wish us to send this to, please let us know.
One thing I forgot to add was about the Safe Environment Training
• All volunteers – classroom helpers, lunch room helpers, field trip drivers, Junior Achievement teachers, classroom party helpers, etc. must now have a background check.
• Background check includes a State of Illinois Background check by fingerprint and a
CANTS search through the Department of Children and Family Services.
• Also all volunteers will need to attend a Safe Environment Training session.
• 1st session this year will be Saturday, Sept. 4th at 10:00 in the computer lab.
Another session will be Wednesday, Sept. 8th at 6:30 in the computer lab.
• You may schedule an appointment for a session if these times will not work.
CANTS forms and Fingerprint forms may be obtained from the school office
